Heavy (RCRA) Metals

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) is a law that regulates safe management of environmentally hazardous and non-hazardous waste in the United States. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) promulgates guidelines and regulations for the proper handling and disposal of certain types of waste in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations.  Part of the regulatory requirements involves monitoring a list 8 metallic elements known as RCRA 8 metals commonly found in construction or demolition debris.  These regulated metals include arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium and silver.

NVL Labs provides laboratory testing using analytical instruments designed specifically for identification and quantification of all heavy metals including the regulated RCRA 8 metals as specified in EPA SW-846 methods.
